COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols
Vaccination requirement: Anyone eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must be fully vaccinated in order to attend in-person lessons. Other than age restrictions, exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, so please contact me if you would like to discuss.
Before leaving home for a lesson, students and parents/guardians must conduct a health self check. Ask yourself these questions:
Do I have a fever?
Do I have a cough?
Am I experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?
Am I experiencing any other symptoms?
Have I been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
In the last two weeks, have I been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19?
If you respond "yes" to any of the questions, you must stay home and it is recommended that you contact your primary care physician for further medical advice. If you have a fever with cough or shortness of breath, you are urged to contact your primary care physician as these symptoms may be attributed to COVID-19.
You will not be charged a lesson fee for an absence due to illness.
Temperature checks will be administered when you arrive for your lesson.
Anyone attending a lesson (whether vaccinated or unvaccinated) will be required to wear a face mask.
Students may have a maximum of 1 observer present for their lesson.
Students will be required to wash their hands before their lesson.
The student cello chair and music stand will be sanitized between students.
My studio has a big window for ventilation and I will setup an exhaust fan to help ventilate the space and get aerosols out of the studio.
With the exception of water, no food or drinks should be brought to lessons.
In order to maximize social distancing, only students will be permitted to attend group classes. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to observe.
Group lessons will be taught with proper social distancing between students.
