Meadowmount is a seven-week summer school for accomplished young violinists, violists, cellists and pianists training for professional careers in music. Since 1954, Meadowmount has been under the aegis of the Society for Strings, Inc., a non-profit organization.

The school has a capacity enrollment of over 200, yet remains small enough to provide personal attention to each student. Students have the opportunity to work with an outstanding faculty, prominent guest artists and an excellent staff of pianists.

An orderly work schedule with a daily practice schedule insures maximum accomplishment often resulting in completing a year's worth of work in a summer. Performance opportunities are provided in weekly master classes and three concerts each week. The school is an institution in the community and has been instrumental in providing fine music to local residents and summer visitors from around the world.
